About Me
My name is Maya Caulfield and I am a student with middlebrow taste from Boulder, Colorado. I have always been interested in film, but when I was nine years old I saw Tim Burton's Big Fish, and everything changed. There were two scenes that stood out to me among all others: when Edward first met Sandra and time stopped, and when Will told his father 'how he goes'. Who knew that film could be everything I'd been wanting to feel and say all at once? Ever since that little moment six years ago, I've been making slow progress towards recreating that frisson for myself. Slow progress. Outside of school, I work for a local film festival as well as a books, records, & video store, make and watch movies, and write more than half-bad screenplays. |
